What to expect when you're expecting photos
We know you’ve got plenty on your plate getting ready for baby, so we’ve gathered all the must-know details in one place. Think of this as your go-to guide for answering those pressing questions and helping photo day feel simple, smooth, and stress-free.
Getting ready made easy

Where are you located?
We serve many hospitals! Visit our hospital partners page to see a current list of hospitals we serve. If you don’t see your hospital, please contact us. We have a number of partners in other locations who may be able to serve you.
How long is the session?
Each session lasts about 15 minutes. A 15 minute window gives us enough time to create a memorable newborn photo experience without disrupting the hospital routine or causing undue stress for you and your baby.
How do I schedule a session?
No scheduling needed if we are contracted at your hospital! If you are interested in Bella Baby photos, simply let your nurse know.
We work closely with the hospital staff to determine when your baby is ready for photos. Your photographer will reach out to coordinate your session when the staff notifies us that you and your baby are medically cleared for a photoshoot.
Please note that due to time constraints, we may be unable to accommodate sessions late in the day or on a day other than your assigned photo day.
How many images will be in my gallery?
You can expect to receive a watermarked gallery of about 15-18 edited images, carefully chosen by your photographer. It’s your baby’s first highlight reel, perfectly curated and ready to share with the most important people in your lives.
Can I choose my final images?
Your photographer selects the highest-quality images from your session to ensure your gallery reflects Bella Baby’s photography standards. Images are chosen based on lighting, composition, and overall technical strength. Your final gallery is lightly edited and delivered fully prepared for viewing and ordering.
What should we bring?
For baby, a neutral outfit, blanket, or special keepsake from home are welcome, but definitely not required. If family members want to join the fun, a solid-colored shirt works best. Neutrals always shine in both color and black & white, but if you’re more of a color-loving crew, make sure everyone coordinates for a more polished look.
For safety reasons, we can’t use baskets or hanging props (as cute as Pinterest makes them look!).

How can I prepare on the day of my session?
We recommend feeding and changing your baby 15-30 minutes before your session. A full tummy and a fresh diaper usually help things go smoothly.
If possible, take a few minutes to tidy the room and choose the outfit for your baby’s big debut prior to your photographer’s arrival. Place bags and suitcases in the closet or to one side of the room.
Can my family be in the photos?
Our focus is always your newborn, however if family members are present during your session we welcome their participation.
My baby is in the NICU. Can I still have a photoshoot?
Absolutely! Just let your NICU nurse know you are interested in Bella Baby Photography. The session will take place when the hospital staff lets us know that your baby is ready for pictures (usually the day before or day of your baby’s NICU graduation).
How much are the packages?
There is no fee for your hospital session, so we encourage you to relax and enjoy the moment. If you choose to order from your gallery, we have packages and products for a wide range of budgets. Products start at $33, and packages start at $80. Full package and pricing information is available when you sign into your gallery.
TIP: Some hospitals offer exclusive savings on same day orders! Ask your photographer if there are any specials available during your hospital stay.
What if I can’t buy my photos right now?
We offer several flexible options! Many families choose to order through their photographer in the hospital and save an average of 10%, but if you're not ready yet, we save your images so you can purchase anytime.

What if I already booked another session?
We are so excited that you want to capture these precious moments! Our complimentary Bella Baby session is one-of-a-kind because it captures your baby just as they are in their first days of life. It pairs perfectly with a home or studio session with your family photographer. Your baby’s story starts with these first precious days in the hospital and we would love to help you tell that story.
Smiles captured, now what?
The hard part is over. Well, besides choosing a favorite (or 10). If you’re wondering “what’s next?” you’ve come to the right place.
How long will I be able to access my photos?
Your gallery is available online for 2 weeks after your session. If you'd like to revisit your photos and make a purchase at a later date, fill out our gallery restore request form or contact our customer service team at (888) 455-7826 or email info@bellababyphotography.com to begin the process of restoring your gallery.
Where do I find my gallery access code?
You can find your gallery access code in the email you received after your session. Look for an email with the subject line “Your Bella Bella Baby Photos Are Now Available.” This email contains your gallery code and a link to view your gallery.
I didn’t receive my gallery link. How do I access my photos?
The most common reason families do not receive their gallery link is because the email lands in their junk folder. Check your spam folder for an email that says “Your Bella Baby Photos Are Now Available.” This email contains your gallery link.

Help! I forgot my access code!
Go to www.bellababyphotography.com and click on “Forgot your access code?”. Enter the email address you provided to us at the time of your session. If your email is in our system, you will receive an email with your access code within a few minutes.

My gallery is expired. Can I still access my photos?
Yes! We currently have access to most galleries from 2015 - present. If your gallery is expired fill out our gallery restore request form to begin the process of restoring your gallery. Please note that you must provide your gallery access code for us to retrieve your photos.
How do I order my photos?
Ordering your photos is as easy as 1-2-3!
- Log into your gallery using your gallery access code or the gallery link sent via email.
- In the lower right corner of the slideshow screen, click “view photos” to be directed to the gallery page.
- While on the gallery page, choose "Shop Products" and "Shop Packages" at the top to view our options and order online.
Do you have any discounts or promotions?
Our packages offer significant savings compared to purchasing items individually.
While we don’t have ongoing discounts, we occasionally run promotions. If you’ve opted into our emails, you’ll be notified when any promotions become available.
How long do you save the photos?
We will store the photos in our archives for as long as technology allows. If your photos were taken in 2015 or later, there’s a great chance we’ll be able to recover the photos! Just fill out our gallery restore request form and we'll do our best to restore your gallery. Please note that you will need to provide your expired gallery access code to begin the process.
From Checkout to Cherish

When will I receive my order?
Most products are delivered within 2–3 weeks. Please note that some items such as birth announcements and canvases ship separately from standard prints and may arrive at different times.
Once your order ships, tracking number(s) will be emailed to you separately as they become available.
Certain products, including birth announcements and holiday cards, require your approval before production begins. Once we receive your authorization, the 2–3 week production timeline starts at that time.
How do I download my photos without the watermarks?
If you purchased the digital download or a package that includes your digital images, locate the email from info@bellababyphotography.com with the subject line “Download Your Bella Baby Photos”. This email contains a download link and instructions for downloading your gallery. If you don't see the email, please check your spam or junk folder.
Help! My download link expired!
No worries, contact us at (888) 455-7826 or info@bellababyphotography.com and provide your order confirmation number. We will send you a new download link within 24 hours.
I prepaid for a draft package. How do I choose my photos?
We’re so glad you loved your photos! To finalize your order:
- Locate the email from Bella Baby with the subject line: “IMPORTANT This Is The Direct Link To Finalize Your Order”.
- Click the link to complete your order.
- Follow the prompts to make your image selections.
I received a charge from Joy Parenting Club. What is it for?
If you noticed a recent charge, it is related to a Joy Parenting Club membership that was included with your initial purchase. Memberships automatically renew on a quarterly or annual basis, depending on the option selected with your Bella Baby package.

My package never arrived. What do I do?
Please locate your Bella Baby tracking email to access your tracking link and number. With this information, you can contact either UPS or USPS to file a claim for the lost package. Once you receive your claim number, email us at info@bellababyphotography.com and we’ll be happy to assist.
My package arrived damaged, what should I do?
In these situations we can file a claim with the lab. To file the claim, we will need a picture of the damage. Please email a photo of the damage to info@bellababyphotography.com and include your order confirmation number. Once we receive the photos we can proceed with filing an internal claim.
I just submitted an order. Can I make a change to it now?
Our orders are processed quickly, and we’re unable to make changes once an order has been submitted.
I accidentally forgot to include my apartment number on my order. Can you add it for me?
Once an order has been placed, we’re unable to update the delivery address on our end. However, you may be able to request a redirection directly through the carrier. To do this, visit the USPS or UPS Intercept a Package page and follow the steps to see if your shipment is eligible for address modification or redirection.
